Commercial Architect – Office Design
Design and fit-out of new office space for a growing digital business.
We began by taking a detailed brief from the Client, to understand internal teams, relationships and requirements.
We then grouped the various departments and ideas into a diagram to present the suggested proximity and qualities of each space. Coupled with a site analysis of the floor plan, we prepared 3 concept layouts for discussion.
The final design was informed by sun paths (avoiding solar gain/ glare) and suitable acoustic separation between departments. Views and movements were also considered to create a simple and effective design.
Design inspiration included; tiered seating, vertical brise-soleil, fitted furniture and whiteboard walls. A new conference room was created, using frame-less glass and integrated technology. Break-out spaces, standing desks and planting completed the look.
Measured survey and RIBA Stages 0-2.
